My life changed when I learned that every year more than 2 million children will face a period of homelessness. Learning that a childhood friend of mine was one of them unnerved and saddened me to the point where I knew I had to do something. For this reason Heart of Joy Pajamas was created.
My friend's experience, and so many others like his, taught me that kids who are homeless usually don't have a safe, comfortable environment to lay their head at night. It is my goal to create these glow-in-the-dark pajamas, so that every child has one BRIGHT spot of joy, even if their short lives have seen an overwhelming amount of darkness.
